Obviously this page is a work in progress in response to people asking for pedigree info and my finding that my usual source I’ve relied on to keep pedigree info available to the public, hrdndog.com, has currently encountered problems with service delivery, so since I’ve got a lot of records stored away, I don’t have everything on here but will keep working to update it. I have heard that the pedigree database is being set up as of January 2012 at a new site, http://www.theaustralianshepherd.net/

UKC Grand Champion Chevreherd Nip’N Tuck “Tucker” supreme farm guardian dog and family companion (born5/15/2005)
Zion’s Chancellor, sire of Tucker (by Zion’s International, UKC Gr, AKC/ASCA Ch Briarbrooks Oh Happy Day CGC {CH Briarbrooks Valedictorian X Ch Briarbrooks Debutante} X dam Zion’s Songs in the Night “Hannah” {by Samson ie Fantasia’s Dream Maker sired by Ch Fantasia Moon Dancer [Ch Briarbrooks FlyMeToTheMoon X Ch Fantasias Sterling Performer] X Samson’s dam is Ch Legacy Scarlet Ribbon [Ch Legacy's Leader Of The Band X Ch Legacy of Red Moon Abbey Road] and Hannah’s mom is “Rhindi” Chevreherd’s Mariah of Zion, a full sister to our old Pearl below}). I believe Rhindi is still alive and must be 15. We lost Chance, Tucker’s sire, sadly in a freak accident at a young age.
Chevreherd Cowhock Nibbler, dam of Tucker (Cowtowns Renoir X Chevreherds Priceless Pearl) Pearl was from our early good breeding pair of Chevreherd Be Jim Dandy “Jay” (pointed/titled farm chore dog and one of the original “Fab Four” ) and Chevreherds Tara Bonapart (mixture of old Woods/farm dogs) from the 1980′s. Cowtown’s Renoir was linebred old Reddy Teddy, good square built dark red ornery dog, hard bite heeler. Pearl and the Cowtown dog produced one puppy so it was not hard to pick Nibbly to keep. She was a sweet thing and as I’ve heard of other breeders who have put two very hard biting dogs together, two hard heads can produce rather a wuss but I could not regret keeping her and using her. Actually, Nibbly would not have survived without our wonderful old Lassie taking her on as foster mom, because Pearl was just too hot headed to be still and take care of one puppy, she always thought there was too much to do. Lassie and Nibbly were my daughter’s babysitters during her growing up years. Lassie was always trying to mother somebody. Nibbly produced some nice dogs and gave us Tucker in her last effort at age 10. Nibbly went to a retirement home at age 11 in very good shape still and unfortunately they did not keep in touch.
Chevreherd Cain’t Miss “Tilly” strong working instinct for “push” suitable for cattle; deep color intensity, red carrier (10-15-2006)
Chevreherd Cain Muggabugs was Tilly’s sire (black tri red factored). Cain’s sire was Ch Briarbrooks Knight of Zion “Muggsy” (Ch Briarbrooks Checkmate X Ch Briarbrooks Set the Style==making Muggsy’s grandparents Ch Fieldmaster’s Three Ring Circus, Aristocrats Lady Sings the Blues, Ch Briarbrooks Coat of Arms, and Ch Scotch Pine of Adelaide CD) Cain’s dam was Kel-Mars RC Rippin Ruby (Cloud 9s Brumby of Kel-Mar X Texas Sands KM Ruffian Cain well known working titled dog; the grandparents list is Kel-Mars Herd’Em of Colorado {old Woods} AA’s Scotch On’th Rocks, Ch WTCH Windsongs Raisin Cain, and Shadey Mountain Little Bit {old Woods}). Tilly was from his last litter, as have several of the dogs I have kept to use on, were from older parents. Cain lived to 13.
Chevreherd Miss L Any “Missy” is Tilly’s dam, open ranch and working titled, last I heard living out her years in retirement as a working family farm dog. Missy has quite a bit of eye and loves to drive stock with steady balanced style. Chevreherd Max was Missy’s sire (son of “Muttly” Sprogs Harlequin Bear who was a great chore dog with old Woods lines {Sprogs Bearly There Buffington X Moriahs Mity Ruff Buffington} and Max’s dam was Chevreherd’s Kayla Celebration who was one of my best bitches that sadly never got trialed but once; she was a great chore dog in my husband’s dairy. Kayla was from the cross that Chevreherd has relied on in it’s evolution; Vest’s Bell Star Jim X Cheshire Better Be (1987) {Tri-Ivory Ruff Rider =west coast lines X Incense Cedar of Cheshire=old Las Rocosa/Woods}). Missy’s dam was Chevreherd Gayla Eventer, linebred my mix thus letting Missy be linebred bringing all four of the get I was able to use from my one cross of Vest X Cheshire.
Chevreherd Whipper Snapper, black tricolor natural bobtail female with good general working style and some eye. (9-3-2007)
Snappy’s sire is Tucker, and her dam is one of my most respected bitches, Chevreherd Sweet Sheila (Chevreherd Power Flash X Chevreherd Sweet Belle Sprog). People just LOVED Sheila’s pups. Sheila was a black and white version of her grandmother, my original red tricolor Sheila from the Vest X Cheshire cross. Sheila’s mom was Muttly X Chevreherd Sheila Be Better and Sheila’s dad was mostly show dog bred with lineage from Chevreherd Priceless Pearl, (also Nibbly’s mom above). I found in my research that Wood’s Jay was behind the early Flintridge dogs and with high percentages of this old line, they had good working instincts.
Chevreherd Toots Nelson “Tootsie” my treasured dark red tricolor bitch from Betty Nelson (born 11-2-2001)
Tootsie has a very mixed bag of old bloodlines with her sire, Lakota’s Check It Out, having old California dogs admired by Betty Nelson (grandparents read; Rowes Dan of Bell Star ATDs, Pinelines Chocolate Frosting, Nelsons Bonanza North {littermate to Nelsons Phoebe of Gold Nugget} and Nelsons Coal B Jinx who had old Woods/J-Bar-D lines). Tootsie’s dam was Rossy’s Best Bet, who had a mixture of popular working dogs in her pedigree: her sire was WTCH Cutters Hill Ace in the Hole CD RD RTDcs (WTCH Zephyrs Crimson King RDx X WTCH Powder Kegs Echos Heidi) while maternal grandparents were (WTCH Judds Chickasaw Dan X WTCH Slash V Slide Me Sweet CD “Oliver’s Slip”). Tootsie reminded me a lot of my Kel-Mar dog, Rippin Ruby, having similar physical and mental qualities, old fashioned working aussie loyalty, independent thinking, likes to get in there and push stock (with right trainer/dog combination this old type can trial with steady controlbut are better suited to working cattle) and short tight hair coat with gamin face.
I kept three of the puppies out of the last Toots X Tucker litter here a couple years ago and offer one for you, especially the darker blue female as I feel she is the most quality overall, her face has settled into picture perfect proportions and she has the most sustained interest in working. She is busy minded and needs someone who can take her and use to advantage her good qualities. She would be excellent in agility (she is only 17″ tall) or obedience I am sure. She is priced at $500. AKC/ASCA can be UKC, working aussie.
